Sampling and Cold-chain Transport

Make sure field samples reach the lab intact

Sampling and Cold-chain Transport

Our authorised team takes the sample at your site and carries it to the laboratory in a recorded cold chain.

From 950 TRY per trip

The reliability of analysis results depends on the sample being taken correctly and reaching the laboratory in suitable conditions. The sampling service removes the risk of faulty samples, particularly in wastewater, drinking-water and food hygiene monitoring programmes.

Service content

  • Trained samplers, sterilised containers and labelling
  • On-site measurements: pH, temperature, chlorine residual, dissolved oxygen
  • Transport at 2–8 °C in a cool bag or refrigerated vehicle with a temperature log
  • Sampling record: place, time, conditions and the person who took it
  • Composite sampling devices for wastewater

For routine customers an annual sampling calendar is prepared; the calendar is set according to the frequency requirements of the relevant legislation. Urgent sampling requests are met the same or next day.

Frequently asked questions

Which of your analyses are within the accreditation scope?
Most analyses in our catalogue are within the ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation scope. The scope list is published on the Accreditation and Guides page; methods outside the scope are stated clearly in the catalogue and the report.
How soon will I get the report?
Time varies by analysis: water microbiology 2, food microbiology 3–6, chemical analyses 4–5, ICP-MS 4, Legionella 10 working days. Fast (+50%) and express (+100%) options shorten the times.
How do I track my report?
Enter the sample number on the reception slip on the Report Lookup page; you see the stages sample received, in analysis, awaiting approval and completed and the estimated delivery date.
How should I send the sample?
In a sterile or suitable container, labelled and at the right temperature (2–8 °C for microbiological). Quantities and rules are written on the Sample Acceptance Conditions page. You can drop it at our reception points, ship it by cold-chain cargo or request the sampling service.
What if the sample is not suitable?
At reception a sample may be rejected if temperature, quantity, container or label is unsuitable; the customer is informed the same day. For conditionally accepted samples this is stated in the report.
