The departments, quality system and working principles of Berrak Analiz Laboratuvarı.
Berrak Analiz Laboratuvarı was founded in Tuzla, Istanbul in 2008 by a small team of food engineers and chemists. Today, in our 1,800 m² facility, 27 analysts and technicians analyse more than 86,000 samples a year.
Our departments
- Microbiology: Pathogen and indicator microorganism analysis in food, water, cosmetics and environmental samples; class 2 biosafety cabinets and a separate washing and sterilisation line
- Chemistry: Nutritional values, residues, additives, water chemistry and wastewater parameters
- Instrumental analysis: Heavy metal, pesticide and mycotoxin determination by HPLC, GC-MS, ICP-MS and AAS
- Materials testing: Metal tensile, hardness, chemical composition and coating tests
- Sampling and logistics: A cold-chain vehicle fleet and an on-site sampling team
Quality system
Our laboratory works to the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025. Method validation, measurement uncertainty calculation, proficiency tests between laboratories and internal quality control samples are applied continuously. The accreditation scope is published in the Accreditation and Guides section of our site; methods outside the scope are clearly stated in the report.
Impartiality and confidentiality
Customer information and results are confidential; reports are sent only to the requesting party. Results are written independent of commercial pressure and based on method and measurement data.
